Who We Are
Pathway to Dignity was founded by Ms. Deloris Clayborne, MPA, CHSM, MBA in 2010, who heard a calling from God to provide unparalleled holistic support to re-entering citizens in Memphis and Shelby County in Tennessee. Both a visionary and a compassionate leader, Ms. Clayborne designed the curriculum for Pathway to Dignity’s core program. Developing Your Career and Your Next Best Self. She worked tirelessly to turn her vision into reality, attracting the best and the brightest to help fulfill Pathway to Dignity’s mission.
Tragically and unexpectedly, Ms. Clayborne passed away on January 15, 2021. The Board of Directors is determined to not let her dream and all she accomplished die with her. We will continue to follow her vision and strive to motivate re-entrying citizens to transform their lives by pointing them in the right direction and providing them with the necessary support.
As we are aware of what we do best, we want to share that information with the community.
- Our ability to meet Clients where they are and move them forward from that place.
- Our ability to ignite an untapped workforce.
- Our ability to teach and discuss the effects of poverty in ways that motivate the Client to want to change.
- Our ability to connect with employers and get them to agree to informational sessions with our Clients.
- Our ability to teach the Clients to present themselves.
- Our ability to make the sell to employers that we have a new and improved citizen who is willing to do the necessary work to land and maintain employment.
- Our ability to offer retention services for the employer and Clients for a period of two years.
- Our ability to continue to research the statistics and make the necessary adjustments to improve as an organization.
- Our 0% recidivism rate.
